The Kwik-E-Mart headquarters is located in the Himalayas, in India, and Apu and Homer once traveled there to get Apu's job back.[1]

The Springfield Nuclear Power Plant was temporarily outsourced to India and Homer became a supervisor for the plant in Bangalore. While there, he met Apu's cousin Kavi.[2]

To rescue a cow Bart raised, Apu shipped the cow by air to India since cows are sacred animals in the country.[3]
