Season 36 is an upcoming season of The Simpsons. It will start in Fall 2024. It was confirmed on January 26, 2023, along Season 35.[1]

Upcoming plots
- In one episode, Marge's self-image in the town that everyone thinks she's a good person is at stake when Homer and Marge have to respond to a kidnapping and extortion situation. The kidnappers have not yet been decided on, but they’re thinking of Jimbo and Shauna.[21]
- The first several episodes are detours through sci-fi and horror.[22]
- One of the first episodes will be a sequel of sorts to one of the following episodes: 22 Short Films About Springfield, 'Round Springfield, Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire, Lisa the Boy Scout, The Sound of Bleeding Gums.[22]
- One episode in the first half of the season will be dedicated to Ned Flanders reflecting on the deaths of Maude Flanders and Edna Krabappel, because it’s “never too late to emotionally address a past trauma".[22]
