The True Origin of Radioactive Man was featured in Radioactive Man #711 and reprinted in Simpsons Super Spectacular #8.
Plot
Radioactive Man and Fallout Boy is at the opening of The Radioactive Museum, where Radioactive Man see at they had the first issue of his comic, he tell to Fallout Boy at he remember his so-called orgin-story but the published has got it wrong. Fallout Boy then asks him to tell the truth and he does.
Claude Kane III was ten years old when a radioactive cylinder struck him right between the eyes and blinding him. He was rushed to the hospital for radiation burns and a knot on the forhead and a few years later when he was a teenager he want on a field trip to a science lab where he was bitten by a cockroach that had absorbed a fanastic amout of radioactivity. He was rushed to the hospital and treated for radiation posioning and bug bite. Later when he still was young man, his dad forced him to take a gopher job at his research lab when a one-in-a-million freak accident gave him a lighting-charged chemical bath. He was rushed to the hospital and treated for chemical burns and electrocution. So after the badages came off he decied to do a little clubbing. When he dancing on a night club when Gloria Grand he eavesdropping on two guys which dancing and talking about at one of them has just received their orders and are clear to deliver the money to the russian guy, Krabokov, he has taken plutonium that his has stolen from Dr. Kane's lab and made a bomb to them. Kane remember then at he must deliver a corned beef sandwich with russian dressing to his father's lab, and he leave Grand and go to his roadster and headed for his father's lab but in the desert he run out of gas and his cell phone was broken so he couln't call for help. Meanwhile at the laboratory of Dr. Vladmir Krabokov, known as Dr. Crab, the two men give him the money and ask Krabokov at he should give them their sutitcase bomb. Krabokov show them the bomb which is in a suticast that looks the same as the suticase with the money. They want him to arm the bomb temprarily so he can prove that it works. Krabokov do it while the men go to the door after someone ring on the doorbell, it turns out to be a girl scout selling cookies.
One tasty transaction later, they are ready to leave and Krabokov has received his money and the men their bomb. Krabokov start to pack, he is on way back to Russia. Meanwhile leaves Cane the car and start to walk in the desert, meanwhille flying Krabokov in an airplane above him, he takes a look in his suticase and discovery that he got the bomb and not the money and forget to disarm it. He throws out the suticase with the bomb to Kane who think they are dropping provisions to him, but the bag explodes instead and When the blast cleared he relized at he had take a point blank nuclear explosion and surived, he also have now a flash in his head. Radioactive Man tell to Fallout Boy at just because of his breading run-ins with radiation and chemicals, he must devloped immunity to the harmful effects of the blast, deprecated he absored only the pure, clean engery of the atom and that how Radioactive Man was born. Fallout Boy wonder the comic could get it so wrong, he tell at they don't know that he is Claude Kane III and he guess the comic is pretty accurate. Fallout Boy sighs and tell at he can't belive that he's the hero and him the sidekick.
