Bartman - Part III: The Great Purple Hope is a comic story featured in Bartman #6. It is the final part of a three-part series.
Plot
Unable to walk properly, Bartman masks Santa's Little Helper and uses him to pull on his skateboard so he can move about the town. He confronts Kent Brockman who reveals that he was turning Bartman into a scapegoat to increase his ratings and is now about to unmask him in front of an audience. However a group of masked men tell Bartman where to find Canker's hideout before letting him escape with Santa's Little Helper. The pair rescue Milhouse from death and unmask Canker - Mr. Burns. Lisa and Maggie save Bart from Canker's accomplices and Mr. Burns is revealed to simply be an android replica. The group try to work out who was really behind the scheme, soon revealed to be Lenny. He explains that he was temporarily driven insane by nuclear waste and used the androids in an effort to discredit Mr. Burns. Bartman promises to let him go if he can play video games at his house until 2035.
