Bart and Lisa and Marge and Homer and Maggie (to a Lesser Extent) Vs. Thanksgiving is a Simpsons Comics story first printed in Simpsons Comics #51.
Plot[edit]
Thanksgiving becomes frustrating for Marge: Lisa wants to protest the slaughter of turkeys, Bart wants to buy a game at the Try-N-Save after dinner, and Homer has eaten all the turkey.
Marge goes out to buy a new turkey, but the grocery store shoppers have become violent and are looting, so she has to wear protective clothing. The store appears to be out of turkeys, but she is advised to look in the employees-only area, where she finds what she thinks is a turkey, but is actually just a hormone-rich chicken. She gives up and heads back home.
Bart sneaks out to the Try-N-Save and finds a group of orphans who want to go inside to escape the cold. The store clerk refuses to let them in because they are penniless, so Bart shares the money he was going to use for his game.
Grampa takes Lisa to a casino, and she is outraged that the Native American employees are celebrating Thanksgiving after all the suffering that was inflicted on them. However, she is pleased with the fact that through the art of gambling, white people are their suckers.
Smithers asks Homer for help since Mr. Burns is trapped with three rabid turkeys he was going to execute. On the rescue mission, Homer wears a suit filled with birdseed, which diverts the turkeys' attention toward him while Smithers and Mr. Burns are crushed by boxes. Homer escapes with Smithers and Burns, but he is chased by the turkeys until Marge accidentally runs them over.
Later that day, the Simpson family and others have a feast of the run-over turkeys.
