Simpsons Fanon wiki

May I enquire why we're linked to the Simpsons Fanon wiki? I mean, sure it could possibly be a way to attract editors and sure it's a Simpsons related wiki, but it's not that "mature" of a wiki in terms of size, organization and content. Just saying. Ldude893 12:33, 28 November 2010 (UTC)

Spotlight Image

I've been wanting to do this for a while now but couldn't really be bothered. The Spotlight image got a bit pixelated when it was shrunk. I uploaded a HQ version of it in the same size (200x75). Yodelin' Zeke Images

The wiki refuses to render the images in the Yodelin' Zeke article. I have no idea what its problem is ... I uploaded the images and created the article earlier this morning, everything looks fine in the code, and the file names are correct, so darned if I know what Shout is on about here. The thumbnails don't display in the files for the images, either, so I think there's a glitch afoot. English or American

In the USA, "laser" actually is spelled with an S rather than a Z. It's in word endings where USA English tends to default to using the Z, one example being "criticise" (UK) vs. "criticize" (USA). (But in USA English it's still "criticism" with an S. I know, we're goofy; go figure). Two others to watch out for are "license" and "defense" which in USA English end in "nse" where in UK English they would end in "nce". (However, as a hockey fan, I'm well-accustomed to seeing "defence" in print.) RE:Help with a template

Hi Solar Dragon. Sorry it took so long for me to get back to you. I took an unexpected vacation from ShoutWiki earlier this week, so I'm just now getting your message. I assume the problem you're speaking of is in regards the header for the template, and how {{Navbar}} is pushed below the "show" button, correct? I briefly went through the code for it and didn't find exactly what's causing that issue, though I can say with a fair amount of certainty that it's something I can fix. I have to be leaving at the moment, but I should be back online again later today and I'll see what I can make of it then. Once again, I apologize for the late reply. Cheers! Personalized signature problem

There's a problem as I cannot use my custom made signature as an official signature. A message reading "Invalid raw signature. Check HTML tags." keeps appearing when I have "Treat signature as wikitext (without an automatic link)" checked. Here is the code;

See my signature code. You can copy parts of it and work around it. Otherwise, just tell me what you want and I will make it for you. For your user page, there should be a button called "Use Wiki User Page" or something similar to that. TEXT can change the font type. I use Algerian. TEXT changes the colour. Add this into links, like my signature:

Inactive

Today I want to thank everyone for their contributions to the success of Wikisimpsons during my time here. In extraordinarily complex and challenging times you have helped the wiki achieve success.

As long as everyone continues to contribute with the same passion as when I first started editing here, Wikisimpsons is exceptionally ready for the future and will continue to be first choice of Simpsons Fans Looking for info.

Now I want to share with you my personal plans. You will have noticed I've been editing less, therefore, effective at the end of the year, I plan to become inactive. I will, however, come back to check on things from time to time.

I enjoyed editing here very much, and enjoyed working with everyone. I would like everyone at the wiki to know how pleased I am to have had the opportunity to be an admin for the past year. Many thanks to all of you again. It has been a privilege to work with you.

Solar, The Homer Trophy images are complete and already uploaded. Project Characters may need a new leader and Someone will have to answer Project Adoption requests (not that there are any normally).

Transcripts

Hi, just out of general interest, is Wikisimpsons planning on adding Transcripts to it's "library of knowledge" anytime soon? I know it has been discussed in the past? Something like The Infosphere has would be cool! Also, I won't be as active once school starts back (tests and what-not) but I shall still be editing after my exams and on weekends. Yeah, I'd like Transcripts here too. It's just it'd become very "labour-intensive" on all of us to maintain them (like the Credits pages) and they'd probably get abandoned or nothing will happen with them (similar to the comics). Of course, it would be easier if there were websites we could "copy-and-paste" and then re-edit, but I don't know of any.
