Please ensure you don't remove the content of pages like you have recently. You shouldn't run automatically unless you know the change won't have any adverse effects like this.--Cook879 17:19, 16 March 2012 (EDT)
It was only certain pages and I think you can only blame AWB for those edits. | SimpsonsFR.pngSimpsonsFA.pngSimpsonsFN.pngSimpsonsFD.pngSimpsonsFO.pngSimpsonsFM.pngSimpsonsFN.pngSimpsonsFO.png | Talk | Contributions | Edit count | 13:57, 22 March 2012 (EDT)
The person running the bot should ensure that the edits work before automating the process. Seeming as these pages failed without you realizing, then this is your fault. Also, it was most likely a human error that caused the problem, not a software one.--Cook879 14:56, 22 March 2012 (EDT)
I didn't change the programming anywhere in the process, it would just select pages that the bot had a problem with. If it was certain pages in a pattern, or many pages, I would look into it. It was almost completely random pages, though, and if I ensured that nothing like that happened, I would have to check every episode page or something, defeating the point of a bot. But your original programming may have caused the problems, and I thought you established that Season 10 was the problem? Also, the idea of bots is to help you do the task, not to do it for you. Though this works well with things like changing file names, where not much can go wrong, for a major generic search and replace like "season" I think you need to be more cautious. Clicking save each time is a lot quicker then editing each page manually, and not errors will occur.--Cook879 16:26, 22 March 2012 (EDT)
