The Crimespree on Springfield 2! is a Simpsons Super Spectacular comic story first printed in Simpsons Super Spectacular #1.
Synopsis
- "Bartman gets Bartdog, Houseboy, Fighting Owl and Four-Eyes together to stop Squirrel Girl, whose squirrels are taking over Springfield."
Plot
Bart and Milhouse are reading Radioactive Man comics whilst Homer sleeps in his hammock, eating a jar of peanut butter. A squirrel then bites Homer's hand, causing him to yell out in pain. This gets the attention of Bart and Milhouse who suit up as Bartman and Houseboy and get Santa's Little Helper as Bartdog to track down the squirrel. Bartdog leads them to the sewer and they go through it and come out the other side in a town that looks similar, but is different. As they explore this new town, they are confronted by Fighting Owl and Four-Eyes and the two pairs have a brief fight.
During the fight, Bartman mentions that they were following a squirrel, which gets Fighting Owl's attention. Fighting Owl tells them that the squirrels are Squirrel Girl's minions and then they team up to track Squirrel Girl down. Bartdog leads them to the Nuts to All Imports factory and Bartman and Fighting Owl use grappling hooks to get on top of the building, whilst Houseboy and Four-Eyes look for a door. Bartman and Fighting Owl find a skylight then jump into the building to confront Squirrel Girl, who reveals that she is Fighting Owl's sister. Squirrel Girl sets her minions on the pair whilst Houseboy and Four-Eyes find a giant jar of Nuts to All Peanut Butter. As Bartman and Fighting Owl are surrounded by squirrels, the sidekicks dump the jar of peanut butter on Squirrel Girl, defeating her and her minions. Bartman, Houseboy and Bartdog leave back for their "world" and Fighting Owl tells Four-Eyes that they'll likely never see them again as they need to return to their home.
