Why was this page turned into a redirect? — TheHomer (TalkContributions) 22:08, April 20, 2010 (UTC)

Because the category did exactly the same thing as the page and so it was useless. ☆The Solar Dragon (Talk)☆ 05:14, April 21, 2010 (UTC)

Images[edit]

I suggest adding an image column on the left side to better illustrate the episode.

The season articles already have that. Besides, they are on the episode articles, so there is no need for them. — TheHomer (TalkContributions) 18:21, September 3, 2010 (UTC)

Dates[edit]

I just saw some of the dates were numbers...stupid excel. I will fix them tomorrow!

614 or so[edit]

The Simpsons is currently in its twenty-eighth season and has broadcasted 614 episodes to date.

IMHO there us no use to mention the number of aired episodes because no one wants to maintain it week by week. --2F13 (talk) 05:38, April 1, 2017 (EDT)

The number is updated using the {{Epnumber}} template, which I update as soon as a new episode airs and the template is used in more pages. It's all fine. / Loco87 (TALK / Contribs) 12:03, April 1, 2017 (EDT)
Errrr... on 2015-09-17 the number was 574 and less than one month later (2015-10-15) it was 614. It is unbelievable. :-) I'm afraid readers are not interested in what template generates the number but the result only. --2F13 (talk) 14:31, April 1, 2017 (EDT)
Oh. I see. What happens here is that the page did not use the template before 2015-10-15. I realised we had the template so it was kinda stupid to update the number of episodes in the page every week, so I added the template then. That's why it shows 614 in October 2015's revision of the page. It's the same "effect" as when an image is replaced by another one in a page. If you see a revision of the page from a time before the pic was replaced, you'll see a redlink instead of the original pic (if the original pic was deleted). / Loco87 (TALK / Contribs) 15:08, April 1, 2017 (EDT)
I got it. I would have had to check the revision history of {{Epnumber}}. Thanks for the explanation. :-) --2F13 (talk) 01:00, April 2, 2017 (EDT)
