| Location Information
Springfield Desert State Park (also known as Satan's Anville) is a desert in Springfield which people can go visit. Some students of Springfield Elementary School visited the park on a field trip once.
The origin of the alternative name "Satan's Anville" comes from the remains of rock in the desert. One rock remains a statue of Satan, which is probably where the name came from.
The school of Springfield Elementary visit the park every year, and Superintendent Chalmers states that every visit Skinner falls for the "rattlesnake trick", which is when a student shakes a baby rattle from behind a rock. However, Skinner states that he actually got biten by a rattlesnake one visit. Chalmers calls that day a "sick day".
