Simon Cowell is a judge on American Idol, famous for delivering his signature brand of harsh reality.

History

Bart asked how awesome American Idol would be if it was just Simon and Randy.[1]

When Moe was signed on to become a new judge on American Idol, Simon Cowell showed Moe around Los Angeles before taking him back to the studio. Simon also gave Moe the phone number of his assistant. In the studio, Simon told Moe that the cost of him being nasty all the time meant that he was lonely. He then told Moe to not go down the same route as him as he'll end up lonely too. Simon then showed clips of interviews with people of Springfield where everyone said that they hated Moe. Moe then thought Simon had disappeared when he was just hiding in the shadows instead, due to his shirt blending in.

During the live show, Moe decided to take Simon's advice and compliment the contestant rather than be mean to her. Simon was then mean to her and mocked Moe for the comments he made to the contestant. Annoyed at having been double crossed, Moe smashed a bottle and attempted to remove his voice box before he was taken out of the building by security. Moe ended up stretching Simon's T-shirt instead of ripping out his voice box and got banned from ever setting foot in California again.[2]
