Behind the Laughter[edit]

The Silver Flash train is based off Amtrak's various "Superliner" cross-country passenger trains. The passenger cars are fashioned off Amtrak's "Superliner" bi-level cars, and the locomotive hauling the train seen in one panel is based on Amtrak's F40PH diesel locomotives from the 1980s and 1990s (a portion of the word "Amtrak" is even shown on the front).
