See No Evil, Hear No Evil! is a Radioactive Man comic story first printed in Radioactive Man #216.

Synopsis[edit]

On his way home from Washington D.C., Radioactive Man discovers that Fallout Boy has disappeared, and he finds a photo of him dressed like a hippie.

Plot[edit]

Claude Kane III has followed Gloria Grand to Washington D.C.. He sees kids planning to storm the White House and decides to attack them as Radioactive Man, but when he starts to attack them, Bleeding Heart asks if he has nothing better to do than beat up peaceful kids. Radioactive Man tells him that he does not understand why he protects the left-wingers; they are breaking the law. Bleeding Heart tells him that there is no law against demonstration outside the White House. Bleeding Heart starts to explain why he has moved to Washington: his boss Miles Mando went bankrupt and the two of them are now poor, but he has received a good contact with the young people and believes in their ideas. Radioactive Man leaves Bleeding Heart, and he does not understand why Bleeding Heart is protesting for peace and love. He realizes that he has not seen Rod Runtledge for days, so he decides to fly home to Zenith City. When he gets home he discovers that Rod is not home, and he finds a photo of Rod dressed as a hippie. Radioactive Man begins to question the hippies in the area if they know where Rod has gone but they will not talk to him, so he decides to fly back to Bleeding Heart.

Bleeding Heart and Radioactive Man visit The Poster Pit, where the photo was taken. It turns out that the owner, Brenda Boyle is really Black Partridge, who uses her psychedelic forces to stop them from attacking her. Bleeding Heart asks her to stop, and tells her that they are just as good as her, so she stops using her powers and they tell her why they are here. She sees that the note that Fallout Boy is holding in the photo is a flyer for Spoon-In, and that all visitors to the event come back brainwashed. However, she has an idea about how they can access the event without being affected, and gives them protective clothes. The event takes place at Mount Zenith so they start to drive there. They stop outside O'Neil's Cafe so Brenda can stretch her legs, but when Radioactive Man and Bleeding Heart go into the cafe she is knocked down. When Bleeding Heart and Radioactive Man are ready to proceed to the event, they discover that Brenda is gone. They believe that she is already at the Spoon-In, so they go there.

The event starts and the leader, the Reverend Dim Sum Spoon, tells the visitors how to free themselves from proactive minds and connect with their ego attachments. Afterwards, some brainwashed hippies are up on stage, and one of them is Rod. Dim Sum Spoon tells the hippies that there is an unbeliever present. He orders them to attack Radioactive Man and Bleeding Heart, and it turns out that Dim Sum Spoon is really Hypno-Head. He begins to hypnotize them and soon has them in his power. He turns on an atomic laser cannon and tells them his plan: he will become the new president with help from the hippies. Brenda fires the laser cannon, but instead of firing lasers, the room goes dark. It turns out that Fallout Boy has shut off the power. He rescues Radioactive Man and Bleeding Heart, and they start attacking Hypno-Head and his friends.

Fallout Boy tells them that he was never hypnotized; the photo is of his lost-twin brother Dodd Runtledge, but because they have caught Hypno-Head, he and his friends have now snapped out of their trance. Dodd tells them that he has amnesia and decides to send him to military school.
