Other

  • Al Jean is showrunning only 4 of episodes in the production season 33, including UABF02 and UABF03, plus something special.[62][63]
  • Scott Hanson will guest star in an episode, possibly show runned by Matt Selman.[64]
  • David M. Stern will return as writer.[65]
  • There are plans for Apu character, but "the staff has to see if it can make the stories work".[66]
  • A series of Simpsons shorts, that will pay homage to some of The Walt Disney Company's top brands and Disney+'s most popular shows, will air on Disney+.[66][67][68]
  • Michael Price will write an episode for a late season 33 or 34 episode.[69]
  • Two episodes will be set in the future.[70][71]
  • There will be Brandine-centric episode.[34].
  • There won't be a Christmas episode.[72]
  • Kristen Bell will guest star.[73]
  • Mr. Burns and Marge will share a storyline in an episode.[45]
  • One episode is meant to be sort of non-canon, or at least more self-contained than usual. It's about binge-watching, and the citizens of Springfield getting hooked on crime shows. It's very much inspired by Fargo and crime documentaries on Netflix.[74]
  • Something extremely comic book related coming[75]
