History

When Mr. Burns asks Smithers what he did over the weekend, Smithers says that he "Caught up on his laundry [and] wrote a letter to his mother". She also, at the dismay of Smithers, requests him to visit La Maison Derrière.

Smithers purchased earrings for her 81st birthday and instead gives the gift to Homer to sway a bet. However, he later gives the earrings to his mother.

In a fantasy Bart had, Seymour Skinner with his mother and Waylon Smithers with his mother approached Bart and Marge on a cruise ship. Bart decided to jump over board.
