Monkey Island is an island that was populated by monkeys.
History
When Captain McCallister, Bart and Milhouse come to the island, they call it Monkey Island because it is populated by angry monkeys. After McCallister gives them his raisins, they become calm. They begin to build a hut on the island but it's not what they expected. McCallister gets depressed, because he hoped that he would not be wrecked again. Bart tries to cheer him up and tell him they can build a boat, but McCallister tell, him that they do not have enough forces to build one.
