Meanwhile at Springfield Nuclear Power Plant, Homer drops his lunch bag when he sneezes and knocks Carl's pepper mill into a tank of radioactive hard water. This causes an explosion and creates a monster that Lenny calls Gastro. Gastro leaves the plant and begins to wreak havoc throughout Springfield.
