Mean Genie is a Simpsons Comics One-Shot Wonders story that appears in Li'l Homer #1.

When Homer was a kid and looking in his dad's garage after his missing, he found a gravy boat, Homer saw then that there is something dirt on the gravy boaten so he polishes it and out comes a genie. The genie tell to Homer that if he loses the lamp, he will die, and every time he wish sometime, someone else must pay for his desires. Homer ask the genie that he has believed that spirits were good but the genie answer him that it is only in fairy tales. The genie explains to Homer that if he, for example, wish one million maybe he does so a satellite crashes into his house and destroy everything and everhtone in it so the owners of satellite will pay a million to him for his suffering. Homer realizes that if he wants one million and that happens will his dad not be happy. The genie ask Homer if he want then a girlfriend, but Homer does not want the girls for they are disgusting, the genie ask Homer if he want a jet pack to fly to school, his request gives Homer a better idea he wishes he will not have school but before the genie did his wish realizes Homer that he will feel bad afterwards because the genie maybe kill all his friends and teachers, and that wille he not do.
Homer's dad comes into the garage and Homer tell him about his problems so he ask Abe for advice, Abe forcing Homer to solve the problem himself but then Homer tell him that he can wish a beautiful wife to Abe, he start to listen on Homer. Homer ask his dad that he might can wish he become the world's best yo-yo champion in the world, Abe tell to his son that they are not a good idea because he might do a perfome for President Nixon and accidentally kill him so Spiro Agnew becomes president. Abe tells Homer that he has no idea and Homer can never solve the problem because not even Perry Mason could do it so he simple asks Homer to ensure that he just gets rid of it as quickly as possible before he walk away. Homer begins to cry for if he lose the lamp he will die so Homer start to wishes that he never found the lamp. That wish made the genie to kill himself and Homer becomes free from the genie. Homer finds then the dount he was searching of only to be discovered that there was last year's donuts and walk away, small chew on it.
