Marvel is a comic company that has also spawned several TV shows and movies. Stan Lee co-created many of their classic characters. Some of the characters have appeared in The Simpsons and Marvel has been referenced other times in the show.

Ben Parker.png In the middle-credits sequence, Ben Parker, Spider-Man's uncle, is alive and evil. He then says the line "with great power comes no responsibility", a reference to his line in the comics "with great power comes great responsibility". In a post credits scene, Nick Fury was brought in to assemble a team of assemblers leading into the movie Assemblers Assemble!
The Avengers.png Many of the superheroes that appear are parodies of Marvel characters:
3 Scenes Plus a Tag from a Marriage promo 3.png JJ Gruff's character and looks are based on J. Jonah Jameson. He's also voiced by J. K. Simmons, original voice actor for Jameson in the the original Spider-Man trilogy and other.
632 "Fears of a Clown" Martin says the line "with diagonal belt comes great responsibility", a reference to Ben Parker's line in the Spider-Man comics.
638 "Throw Grampa from the Dane" Bart mentioned that Disney created Spider-Man.
