History

Kent Brockman described the scene at Kamp Krusty as being worse than Iraq.

Krusty once performed at a U.S. military base in Iraq, where he met Erin.

When the night shift workers began fighting with the day shift workers at the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant, Smithers told Mr. Burns that the two groups were fighting like Iraq and Iran.

Kent Brockman lied on TV about his past saying that he was embedded with the 98th Airborne in Basra during the Iraq War. An Iraq war veteran did not believe Kent, as the veteran himself had been in the 98th Airborne.
