Homer's Colonoscopy is a short that was broadcast as a public service announcement for Stand Up to Cancer on September 5, 2008.

Plot

Marge tells Homer she's giving him the most important gift a man his age can get. Homer asks if she's getting a breast enlargement ("You're having your boobs embiggened?"), but is disappointed and confused when she tells him that he's getting a colonoscopy. Even after Homer looks the term up in a medical dictionary, he's still confused. Marge explains to Homer that "They stick a camera up your 'uh-oh', but this time you won't be doing it to win a bar bet." Homer, indignant, counters that winning the bar bet paid for the camera removal.

The procedure takes place at the Mayo Clinic, which elicits an "Mmm... mayo" from Homer. The doctor starts to explain the procedure, but Homer cuts him off: "Are we gonna talk or make a movie!" The doctor next gestures to the anesthesiologist to administer gas to Homer, but Homer has already fallen asleep on his own. The doctor's assistant uncovers Homer's buttocks, and the doctor spends a few moments waxing euphoric: "This ass is why I became a doctor!" However, in short order the doctor gets to work and finds his Sergeant Pepper CD ("How did that get in there?"); Homer's wedding band, which Homer had told Marge he was getting polished; and three active polyps. The doctor then removes the polyps, which he refers to as "the fun part".

Thirty minutes later, the procedure is finished and Homer wakes up feeling great. Enthusiastically, Homer says "Let's take this new colon out for a spin!" and heads for Krusty Burger, wearing a hospital gown and with the colonoscopy camera still inside him.
