Hello. I was just surfing the net, visiting random wikis... and well... Oh, well, I saw this foreign wikis project and thought I could help building up one. I can speak Spanish muy bien and I'd be interested in writing spanish articles. The thing is that well, how many articles we have? 8600. Good. Making 8600 articles is a bit... too much. Besides, Spanish Simpsons Wikia is very active and competing with them is gonna be hard. And getting spanish users will be hard too because Wikia is first in Google. --TheHomer 21:07, 23 July 2011 (EDT)

<br/><br/>I contacted a user who seemed active at the Italian wiki, but it turns out he just did some small edits and the wiki was inactive. The wiki didn't had an admin and I saw a few spam pages. So the Italian wiki isn't active. <b><span style="color: teal">FatHomer</span></b>Talk 16:22, 27 July 2011 (EDT)

So, for a long time now, I've been thinking that we need to broaden our horizons - in other words, expanding our database to other languages. It'd be a great way to make us even more popular, but it would also, among other things, make Wikia lose some users. So what do you think? Should we broaden our horizons? --Will K (Talk ~ Contribs) 08:00, 18 July 2011 (UTC)

Well we either need to get existing ones to move from Wikia, or find users (like FatHomer) who wants to create one from scratch. Wikia have:

 • A low-active German
 • An active Spanish
 • An active Italian
 • An active Portuguese
 • Inactive (with 3 articles) Bulgarian
 • Inactive (with 8 articles) Danish
 • Inactive (with 21 articles) Finnish
 • Inactive (with 3 articles) Norwegian
 • Inactive (with 199 articles) Swedish. (Note: FatHomer is making one of these from scratch)

So really our best hopes are the first four.-Cook879 10:01, 18 July 2011 (UTC)

There is a German Independent Simpsons Wiki (Simpsonspedia) out there but I am unable to contact them as they seem to ignore me... ☆The Solar Dragon (Talk - Contribs.)☆ 12:04, 18 July 2011 (UTC)
Do they have an email address we could try contacting? It would be nice to get interlanguage links with them set up. --Jake 15:39, 20 July 2011 (EDT)
support@simpsonspedia.net Although they haven't replied to emails I've sent in the past. Someone else may have more luck. The Solar Dragon (Talk - Contribs.) 15:44, 20 July 2011 (EDT)
Forward me the email you sent them, and I'll try sending it to them via our support address. It's worth a shot. :P --Jake 16:53, 20 July 2011 (EDT)
I no longer have the email. I clear out my sent box occasionally, sorry. The Solar Dragon (Talk - Contribs.) 17:14, 20 July 2011 (EDT)
No biggie. :P --Jake 21:52, 20 July 2011 (EDT)

Hey Jake, would you be able to create a zh.simpsonswiki.net? And give me steward rights on it? --Smiley12 17:35, 20 July 2011 (EDT)

The more languages the better :) ☆The Solar Dragon (Talk - Contribs.)☆ 17:43, 20 July 2011 (EDT)
I should be able to set that up tomorrow. --Jake 21:52, 20 July 2011 (EDT)
