Emily Deschanel is an actress.

History

She auditioned for the role of Marge Simpson in the film Bart's Not Dead. During the audition, Homer asked her if she ever had any bones with meat left on them in the series Bones. Deschanel then started reading the script, which Homer believed was real and that Marge was telling Homer that she wanted a break. Homer then had her hold up a hand when reading so that he'd know she was acting. When Deschanel started to read the next line, Homer interrupted her, thinking she had a question. Homer then got her to raise one arm, twirl her foot and wink an eye when acting. When she did this, Homer interrupted her, saying that she was acting weird. When Deschanel asked if Homer was okay, Homer said that she thought he was okay when she married him and stormed off.

At the premiere of the film, Deschanel revealed that she and Marge didn't get along in real life. Later, Deschanel played Marge in the film where she sang "One More Chance".
