Daniel Michael "Danny" DeVito, Jr. (born November 17, 1944) is an American actor, director and producer, who first gained prominence for his portrayal of Louie De Palma on the ABC and NBC TV series Taxi.

In movies, DeVito is known mainly for his comedy roles in films such as War of the Roses (which he also directed), Twins and Junior. However, he has also played darker and more dramatic roles, such as The Penguin in Batman Returns and Mickey Bergman, Gene Hackman's gangster nemesis in Heist. DeVito also has a number of producer and director credits.

On The Simpsons, DeVito voiced Herbert Powell, Homer Simpson's older half-brother.
