Dana Scully is one of the main characters from the drama series The X-Files. In The X-Files he is played by Gillian Anderson and is an FBI Special Agent, partnered on the X-Files with Special Agent Fox Mulder. They work out of a cramped basement office at FBI headquarters to investigate unsolved cases labeled "X-Files". In contrast to Fox Mulder's credulous "believer" character, Scully is the skeptic, choosing to base her beliefs on what science can prove.
In The Simpsons, Scully appeared in the crossover episode "The Springfield Files" along with Mulder. In the episode, Homer believes he has seen an alien, so Mulder and Scully investigate, later determining that Homer was crazy. Scully describes it as their worst mission ever, but later reappears wearing a "Homer is a Dope" T-Shirt.
Trivia
- Former executive producer Mike Scully claims that he used to get a lot of fan mail that was sent to the Fox network addressed to Dana Scully.
