Synopsis
- "Krusty releases an all-female reboot of Itchy and Scratchy, prompting Bart and his crew of all-male friends to boycott the show. After his friends turn on him for enjoying the reboot, Bart joins a group of sixth-grade girls, Bossy Riot, who commit crimes against patriarchy."
Plot
At the Springfield Convention Center, during Krusty Kon, a panel for the season 41 preview of The Krusty the Clown Show is held, featuring a season 40 gag reel and the announcement of an all-female reboot of Itchy and Scratchy for gender diversity. The boys boo the idea, while the girls cheer excitedly.
Bart comes up with the idea of a "hate-not-watch" protest, where they turn off the TV as soon as the show airs, while Lisa enjoys it. However, after hearing her laugh so much at the Pitchfork Perfect episode, Bart can't resist and secretly joins her in watching, later lying to his friends about it.
Unbeknownst to him, Lisa records the scene on her phone. During a segment on Josh.0, Josh broadcasts the video, with Homer laughing at Bart. Bart believes he can get away with it, but his friends disagree and chase him to the girls' bathroom, where he meets Carmen, Erica, and Piper, three sixth-grade girls.
Together, they pull a prank on Skinner, and the girls introduce Bart to their group, Bossy Riot. Meanwhile, the other boys form the Boys Rights Association, led by Milhouse. Bossy Riot escalates their pranks, targeting not only Springfield Elementary School but the entire town. When Lisa discovers Bart is involved, she asks to join the group.
After the Boys Rights Association burns toys in protest, Bossy Riot plans to destroy all Itchy and Scratchy masters. Bart tries to stop them but ends up tied to a mannequin and is rescued by Lisa.
At Krustylu Studios, Bossy Riot is about to destroy the masters live on TV, but Lisa manages to save the recordings—except for three videocassettes—by spraying nail polish remover fumes at the boys, who then blame Milhouse.
Chief Wiggum tries to apprehend the girls but fails due to their clever disguises. Outside the studio, the girls tell Bart he was never truly part of the group and was only included for his fingerprints and DNA. They invite Lisa to join them before riding off on their bike.
In the end, Lisa joins Bossy Riot, and Bart cheerfully paints "The patriarchy is a wiener" on a wall. Later, the boys regroup, and Bart shares what it was like being with the girls, unintentionally discouraging them by saying the girls don't envy the boys.
