- The spotting session occurred on November 22, 1989. It took place in Sam Simon's office, with James L. Brooks, Matt Groening, composer Richard Gibbs, music editor Chris Ledesma and supervising producers Jay Kogen and Wallace Wolodarsky. The previous episode, "Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire", was also spotted at this time.[1]
