"3 Scenes Plus a Tag from a Marriage" is the 13th episode of season 29. It aired on March 25, 2018.

Synopsis

"Homer and Marge recount the story of their transition from loving their life without kids to being miserable parents."

Plot

After enjoying a superhero movie, and, on Bart and Lisa's insistent request, staying after the credits for the middle and post-credit sequences, the Simpsons family returns home from Capital City, and Homer and Marge starts telling the story of how they lived there before they were married, and once they spot their old apartment, invite the kids to visit it.

They meet the new owner of the house, who gives Marge their mail, where Marge discovers that pacifiers are choking hazards. After having her removed, Maggie starts picking items from the plug in the wall to substitute it. When she grabs a rat, Marge gives her back the perfume dispenser.

They continue to tell their story to the new owners too, telling how Marge was a photographer, while Homer worked at a new company, Flashmouth, they went partying, watching movies, watch the starry sky on top of a car, then Bart come and it all changed.

Their carrier went down hill, when kids and their job didn't match. Homer lost his job and Marge was threatened by JJ Gruff to be replaced by Barbara "Booberella" Lelavinski.

Trying to make an article, Marge interviews John Baldessari, but Homer and Bart enter the gallery, after Bart drove them on a ship while Homer was sleeping, and started making pranks. When Marge presented to JJ Gruff the photos of it, she lost her job because the journal lost their art advertisers.

He then gets banned from the kindergarten, and they brought their problems to the Church. The solution Reverend Lovejoy proposed was to have a second child, and Lisa was born.

What they demonstrated to the couple was bad enough the soon-to-be-wife left the house, but the family, forcing smiles to show they are happy brought her back.

At the end the family returns to Springfield, while Lisa starts asking more stories of their past. They stop at the The Doughy Dozen Bagels to eat some bagels, Homer and Marge alone, but are disturbed by the kids moving around in the car, while Grampa watches them.
