Regis Philbin is one of the two host for the morning talk show Live with Regis and Kathie Lee and was renamed in 2001 to Live With Regis and Kelly after Kathie Lee Gifford stopped co-hosting the show and Kelly Ripa joined.

History

When trying to convince Krusty to host his own daytime talk show, Lindsey Naegle compared him to Regis Philbin, "a cranky but lovable, sexless grandpa."[1]

After Bart and Lisa are by an accident in The Itchy & Scratchy Show and wind up on Live with Regis and Kathie Lee in a pot of soup because Homer changed the channel. Bart and Lisa return to Itchy and Scratchy's house when he changes the channel back.[2]

Behind the Laughter

Regis Philbin didn't provide the voice of the character in "Old Yeller-Belly", Dan Castellaneta did. But, in "Treehouse of Horror IX", he did his own voice.
