Maggie's Crib 10/References

References/Trivia

Continuity

Maggie's marksmanship with a rifle is also seen in the television episode "Poppa's Got a Brand New Badge". Her propensity for firearms traces its origins to "Who Shot Mr. Burns? (Part Two)".

Trivia

  • The location of the fair isn't explicitly specified, but the State Fair (previously seen in Maggie's Crib 5) is a reasonable conjecture:
    • The State Fair is in a rural area, but near to Springfield. When the Simpsons were driving by it, they weren't packed for a long trip. The fair in this story is also in or near Springfield, as a sign on a trash can in the first panel reads "Keep Springfield Clean".
    • The State Fair had a carnival section, in which a Ring Toss booth was seen in the background. This story takes place entirely in the carnival section, and it's possible that we're now seeing a part of it that we didn't see before.
    • Homer didn't want to go to the State Fair, but was forced to when Maggie intentionally soiled her diaper in the car. It's possible that we didn't see the entire visit; i.e., that Homer relented and decided they could spend some time at the fair as a family after Marge finished changing Maggie's diaper. (In that case, that would mean that this story takes place chronologically within the events of Maggie's Crib 5.)
