Doctor Who

Doctor Who is a long-running British sci-fi show. It has ran since 1963 and new series are still made. Matt Groening claims to be a fan of Doctor Who. The show has often been referenced in The Simpsons, usually with the Fourth Incarnation of The Doctor appearing, as portrayed by Tom Baker.

Games

Picture Game Reference The Simpsons: Tapped Out Database says "Gaaah! By Dr. Who's Tardis, I'm back!" once unlocked. In the Superheroes update, Comic Book Guy, dressed as The Collector, mentions his "Dr. Who" Sonic Screwdriver. In the Thanksgiving and Black Friday 2018 update, Homer says "I tried using them in a payphone to see if I could travel back in time like Bill & Ted, but instead I just traveled back in time like stupid Doctor Who." referring to the Golden Tokens from Black Friday.

Series Episode name Reference 2 "Fear Her" After figuring out a way to get an alien to stop inhabiting a young girl, the Doctor exclaims "Everything's coming up Doctor!" 4 "Planet of the Ood" One of the Ood's programming functions is 'classic comedy'. An Ood Operations worker says "Ood, you've dropped something.", to which the Ood replies "D'oh!". 4 "The Doctor's Daughter" When she encounters the alien Hath, Martha Jones says "I'm Martha Jones, who the hell are you?" referencing Bart's way of introducing himself. 2009 Specials "The End of Time" After the Doctor is rescued, he is strapped to a wheelchair. As he's pleading with his rescuers (the Vinvocci) to unstrap him, they wheel him down a flight of stairs. Halfway down, he shouts "Worst! Rescue! EVER!" very much in the manner of Comic Book Guy and his catchphrase.
