The Simpsons Couch Gag Contest
The Simpsons Couch Gag Contest is a contest, organized by Fox, where the viewers write their own written idea for a Couch Gag. The contest is between September 30 and November 15, 2012.
Details
The contest is about written an idea for a Couch Gag (100 words or less) to appear in the opening credits of The Simpsons, and if your idea is selected as the winner they animate it. They planing to air it in the season 24's finale in May 2013. Three contest is going to a final where the public vote under a period in January, 2013.
It must be a 2-D animation, and 30 seconds or shorter, it can't have dialogue, it can't have music, it can't have brands or commercials, it must conform to broadcast standards, and it must use all five family members and only one entry pass person. The person must have a re sident physically residing in the forty-eight of the United States or the District of Columbia and 18 years old or older. The writer cant't defineds as a professional writer by the Writers Guild of America. The entrant can't be an employee, owner, shareholder, officer or director of Sponsor, Administrator, Twentieth Century Fox Television, Twentieth Century Fox Film Corporation, Gracie Films or any other person/company directly involved with the Contest, together with the Immediate Family Members and/or Household Members of such persons.
Prize
The Grand Prize Winner will receive a 4 day/3 night trip for the winner and one (1) guest to Los Angeles, CA consisting of the following: (a) round-trip economy class air transportation for two (2) people from the major airport nearest Grand Prize Winner's residence to Los Angeles, California (or, in Sponsor's sole discretion, $500 in lieu of air travel if winner lives within a 200 mile radius of Los Angeles); (b) three (3) nights standard hotel accommodations for Grand Prize Winner and his/her guest at a hotel selected by Contest Entities (one room; double occupancy and room tax only); (c) a visit to Film Roman (The Simpsons™ animation studio) and the opportunity to attend a "table read" of The Simpsons™ (subject to availability); (d) an illustration of the Grand Prize Winner's Submission; (e) The Simpsons™ merchandise package; and (f) $500 spending money. Additionally, the Grand Prize winning Submission will be animated and may also be used in a future episode of The Simpsons™ with a credit as Contest winner. ARV of Grand Prize: $3,750. Total cumulative ARV of all prizing: $3,750. Finalists that are not selected as Grand Prize Winners will each receive an illustration of their Submission.
