Neil Patrick Harris is an American actor, singer and magician. He first made his claim to fame as the title character in Doogie Howser, M.D. He currently stars in How I Met Your Mother. On The Simpsons, Harris voiced himself in the episode "Bart the Murderer", playing the role of Bart Simpson in a made-for-TV movie.

Harris has also been referred to in a couple of episodes:

• "Flaming Moe": After Moe makes over his bar, he owns a dog named Neil Patrick Hairless.
• "Homer the Father": Homer sees a TV show called Supreme Courtney, which is a spoof of Doogie Howser, M.D.
