- The episode title is a pun on the 1989 film sex, lies and videotape.
- In the couch gag, the family is frozen in carbonite and taken away by Boba Fett, a reference to The Empire Strikes Back.
- Wolf is a parody of Dog the Bounty Hunter
- The Thing from the Fantastic Four appears fighting the Incredible Hulk.
- AD/BC is a parody of AC/DC. The song "Kindly Deeds Done For Free" parodies Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap".
