Superman is a fictional superhero and the star of numerous comics and movies, including Superman and Superman II.

History

When Bart tried to become a daredevil, Dr. Hibbert showed him a boy that broke his leg when he tried to fly like Superman.[1]

Homer said that he didn't know what Superman saw in Lois Lane, as he preferred Wonder Woman.[2]

When Shary Bobbins flew off with her umbrella, Barney said "so long, Superman!" to her.[3]

One of Dr. Velimirovic's favorite expressions seems to be "Great Ceaușescu's ghost!", a wordplay on Perry White's catchphrase, "Great Caesar's ghost!"[4]

Comic Book Guy said that peanuts were Principal Skinner's Kryptonite, showing Skinner an issue of Action Comics where Superman was being attacked by someone with Kryptonite.[5]

Bart was once seen reading a comic titled Aquaman and Superman.[6]

When Homer waited for the Student of the Millennium Awards to start, he started to write a Superman novel.[7]

When looking through comics at the Android's Dungeon, Bart came across Death of Superman and Death of Aquaman.[8]

After giving Homer a black eye, Ned Flanders asks Homer if he can pray for him. Homer tells him it's okay, as long as he prays to Superman. Ned refuses and Homer starts the prayer himself.[9]

Comic Book Guy's list of greatest quotes of all time includes the woute "I like pink very much, Lois" by Superman.[10]

In a film about the first Olympics made by Homer and Bart they explained that they couldn't have the first Olympics in USA because Pocahontas was still trying to guide Lois and Clark to the Pacific. Later when they found the Pacific, they were all grown up and they all got married together. Clark was portrayed by a doll of Superman.[11]

Comic Book Guy said that he was not budging, like the door of Superman's Fortress of Solitude when The Beatles tried to visit. Homer later said that he and Comic Book Guy could still be friends, like when Superman teamed up with Lex Luthor. Comic Book Guy then said that was an imaginary story written by Harlan Ellison because he wanted to get fired.[12]

Homer Simpson includes Superman (along with Clark Kent) in The Lazy Hall of Fame because instead of designing an elaborate mask to conceal his idnetity, Clark decided he would transform into Superman by just taking off his glasses.[13]
