Oscar the Grouch is a Muppet on Sesame Street.

History

When Homer saw a man sleep in a dumpster he said that he is like Oscar the Grouch.

When Homer was singing a song about garbage men, Oscar popped out of a trash can.

Oscar was also among the various PBS characters that chased Homer around Springfield. In the DVD commentary, he was named Oscar the Grump due to legal reasons.

Milhouse asked Dubya Spuckler if he ever wondered what happened to Oscar on garbage day.
