Trivia

  • This is the first televised appearance of the Simpsons family.
  • Along with "Bathtime" and partially "The Perfect Crime" and "World War III", this short appeared in "The Simpsons 138th Episode Spectacular".
  • It was also released as a bonus feature on the Season 1 DVD Box Set.
  • All of the characters are unnamed except for Lisa.
  • Although Maggie speaks in this short, this isn't considered her first word. She says "Good night". Liz Georges provided her voice.
  • The design of the bedrooms is notably more basic then the series design.
  • Door frames are rectangular in the short although other shorts, while the series have them in a semi circle design.
