UK Comics
Nice work on the UK comic pages. Comics are one of the big voids we have at the moment, especially UK issues, so it's nice to see someone working on them.--Cook879 18:04, 12 August 2012 (EDT)

Hey
The cover for Simpsons Comics 11 (UK) is too pixelated. Can you update it in better quality?--SimpsonsForever196 (talk) 21:13, April 15, 2016 (EDT)
- Sorry, I don't own that one. It doesn't seem to be available on sites like eBay either.--Zenthor (talk) 07:58, April 16, 2016 (EDT)
- Oh wait, actually, I was able to find a better quality picture online. It's not brilliant but still better than the other one.--Zenthor (talk) 08:10, April 16, 2016 (EDT)
Thanks Zenthor. Also, I want you to upload a better quality cover of Simpsons Comics #144 in the UK. --SimpsonsForever196 (talk) 21:40, April 16, 2016 (EDT)
Comic lists
Hello, if making a big change such as splitting off comic lists into a new page, you should really discuss it first. There was no reason for the lists to not be on the pages. As such, I have put them back to the way they were. If you want to make changes like this in future, please discuss on the talk pages. Thank you, The Solar Dragon 15:23, May 20, 2016 (EDT)
Tacomat
Bravo!! Awesome page! -- Mythigator (talk) 21:35, February 24, 2019 (EST)
- Great additions from you as well! --Zenthor (talk) 08:52, February 25, 2019 (EST)
- Thank you, thank you. The timing was just right on the money. I had already been researching Tacomat and had a pretty good idea of what the article needed to include, and then I saw that you had made the article. It already had about two-thirds of the data points I was going to put in, and they were written pretty darn close to the way I would have done them. So all I did was add in the material from the CBG book and a couple other details. But it was the similarity in writing styles that stood out. Are you sure your last name isn't Weir or Gordon? I'm wondering if you might be a distant relative ... :-) -- Mythigator (talk) 14:42, February 25, 2019 (EST)
2001: A Space Odyssey
Bravo again. Another great page, and as it happens, also another one that I had been researching. Have you been peeking in my sandbox? If so, no objections whatsoever. This page has been practically begging to be made for a long time and it's nice to see it happen. I will almost certainly have some additions to make! -- Mythigator (talk) 18:19, May 13, 2019 (EDT)
- Thanks! I didn't actually notice you had it in a sandbox until I'd already made the article - I saw it when I was looking to replace the Wikipedia links with internal links.--Zenthor (talk) 10:57, May 14, 2019 (EDT)
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (page in progress)
Got a television reference ... Goose Gladwell ("Fat Man and Little Boy", Season 16, episode #340) is based on Willy Wonka, as portrayed by Gene Wilder in the 1971 movie Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory. No doubt there are more, but when I saw the page in your sandbox I couldn't resist chiming in about Goose. -- Mythigator (talk) 00:55, May 22, 2019 (EDT)
- Thank you. Hopefully I'll be able to move the page to the mainspace soon, so if you notice anything I've missed out, you can add it. --Zenthor (talk) 09:52, May 22, 2019 (EDT)
- That's what the mainspace is for. :-) I just didn't want to be rude and go stepping in your sandbox. Regards, M. -- Mythigator (talk) 19:26, May 22, 2019 (EDT)
Soylent Green
I have the Chief Wiggum one-shot comic, so if you like I can scan and upload a screencap of the "Discount Soylent" storefront. -- Mythigator (talk) 11:29, May 24, 2019 (EDT)
Film & TV references
Great additions to the Film and TV references categories. Have you got any others planned? Among the media (books, films, TV series) frequently parodied/referenced in The Simpsons which still have no page of their own I was thinking about these titles (though I can't create them myself, because I have no account and I don't mind others making these pages):
- The Addams Family
- The Birds
- Bonanza
- Cape Fear
- The Cosby Show
- Dragnet
- Dr. Strangelove
- E.T.
- Frankenstein
- Friday the 13th
- The Fugitive
- The Great Escape
- Hamlet
- Happy Days
- How the Grinch Stole Christmas
- Lady and the Tramp
- Lawrence of Arabia
- Mad Max
- The Munsters
- A Nightmare on Elm Street
- North By Northwest
- Oliver Twist
- One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest
- Psycho
- Pulp Fiction
- Rocky
- Rocky & Bullwinkle
- Romeo & Juliet
- Sherlock Holmes
- Silence of the Lambs
- Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
- Pinocchio
- Tom & Jerry
- War of the Worlds
- Westworld

- I didn't have any plans at the moment, partly because the ones I made were the only major examples I could think of that had enough references for their own pages. I would be happy to make pages for some of the ones you listed though. My suggestion would be for you to make an account and then we collaborate on who makes which pages.--Zenthor (talk) 17:12, June 5, 2019 (EDT)
- For references articles, the "threshold" number is five. And they don't all have to be from the TV episodes. The article for The Walking Dead, for example, only has two references from TV episodes; all of the others are from comics or other media. -- Mythigator (talk) 19:30, June 5, 2019 (EDT)
Mad Max Quote
I have a scan of the page of Comic Book Guy's greatest quotes of all time. Here's the one from Mad Max ... Kind of an awkward way to get the pic to you, but I didn't want to play in your sandbox without permission. Regards, M. -- Mythigator (talk) 23:21, July 6, 2019 (EDT)
Dilbert
Hey, do you know of any references to the Dilbert comic strip or TV show in any comic stories? I'm a longtime fan of the strip, and when I saw we had a page for the Dilbert character I went looking for references to the strip and TV show. I found four in Simpsons television episodes and one in Simpsons Comics. I started roughing out the page and checking in IMDB for common cast and crew. There were a whole bunch of those, so I would really like for a Dilbert references article to have more than five items before I publish it. The "work in progress" page is here if you would like to have a look. (Removing link to "in progress" page as it's now in the mainspace under Dilbert (franchise). Mythigator 16 Jan 2020)
What prompted the whole "Dilbert investigation" was that my girlfriend gave me a DVD set of the Dilbert TV show for my birthday a couple of weeks ago. It consists of 30-some half-hour animated episodes. I've started watching them, and they bring back memories of the earlier days of the comic strip, circa late '90s. :-) -- Mythigator (talk) 02:54, December 24, 2019 (EST)
- I'm not aware of any comic references at the moment. I'm not very familiar with the Dilbert franchise so I don't think I'd be able to spot a reference unless it was really obvious. Sorry I can't be much help, though I will keep an eye out.--Zenthor (talk) 08:41, December 24, 2019 (EST)
- I think the wiki already has all of the television episode references, so that leaves comics and video games. I did track down another comic reference, but I'd still like to get a couple more. -- Mythigator (talk) 21:29, December 24, 2019 (EST)
Redirects
You may have noticed that there are a large number of redirects on the wiki; for example, "Bart" redirects to "Bart Simpson". Therefore, when you're coding an article it isn't necessary to write "Bart"; you can just write "Bart". So feel free to use the redirects! It'll make writing a bit easier. You can use the search window to check whether a redirect exists. For example, if you type "Nelson" into the window and then click the Go button, you'll end up at the article for Nelson Muntz, and there will be a note at the top saying that you were redirected there from "Nelson". That confirms that the redirect exists, and means that you can simply type "Nelson" instead of "Nelson". -- Mythigator (talk) 11:03, April 4, 2021 (EDT)
