Leader of the Backpack Pack is a Bart Simpson story that appears in Bart Simpson #92.
Synopsis
- "When Bart injures his back and has to use a rolling backpack, he turns weakness into strength as the Leader of the Backpack Pack."
Plot
Bart hurts himself when he is challenged by Nelson. Bart gets to the hospital, where Dr. Hibbert prescribes Bart not to lift things and forces him to have a wheelie backpack. Bart gets teased at school about it, but becomes friends with the school's nerds and he starts to see the benefits of the wheelie backpack. He does not need to lift things and he walks faster. During gym class, Bart's back is all better and he and the other students with wheelie backpacks win a game of dodgeball. Bart and the others who have wheelie backpacks are soon respected in school. After Bart returns to Hibbert, his back is all better so he does not need a wheelie backpack. Bart takes back his backpack and leaves the nerds, but becomes jealous of them because their backpacks take them to the front of the lunch line.
