Dr. Samuel Elkins was a psychiatrist in a coma dream Bart had.

History

In Bart's coma dream, when he started seeing ghosts of dead people, Milhouse suggested he go see Dr. Elkins. He also asked Bart to return a key attached to a paddle that Milhouse had stolen from him. When Bart went to see Dr. Elkins, Bart started to tell him that he was seeing dead people. Dr. Elkins told Bart that it was a relief that he was not talking to Milhouse, and then mocked Milhouse. Dr. Elkins then told Bart to look behind the couch. When Bart did, he found Elkins' dead body, holding a jar of rat poison. Dr. Elkins revealed that he had killed himself five minutes before Bart arrived and he was a ghost. Dr. Elkins told Bart that he wanted his patients to think that it was all their fault he had died.

Dr. Elkins then told Bart that he had a gift as he could see the dead. He then asked Bart to help him move on to the afterlife. He asked Bart to help him get revenge on Dr. Morton who wouldn't shut up about his Tesla. Bart then used the same maze prank on Dr. Morton that he used on Lisa, causing Morton to get scared. Dr. Elkins then thanked Bart and moved on to Hell.
