Comic Information
|
Grampa the Octogenarian was a comic book from Bongo Comics Group, presented in The Bongos That Time Forgot.
History
Bongo was at the forefront of championing the strengths of the nation's senior citizens with Grampa the Octogenarian. The comic showed that the aged weren't just going to sit back, take their iron supplements and slurp down their tapioca. Although it was aimed at a generation who grew up with strong morals and work ethics, it was also a generation that believed comic books to be a waste of time. Despite extensive cross-promotion with Smeckler's Powder and Lister's Carbolic, the comic only sold fifteen copies.
