Afghanistan is a country in Asia. Its capital city is Kabul.

History

When describing the conditions at Kamp Krusty, Kent Brockman mentions that he has been to Vietnam, Afghanistan, and Iraq and he states that the camp is worse than all three.

Kabul, capital of Afghanistan, was once Springfield's sister city, however after the baby riot at Roofi's concert, they ended the affiliation.

Jet claimed to have filmed in Afghanistan, Serbia and Lebanon, though actually filmed weddings in Dallas-Fort Worth.

Springfield has an Afghan restaurant, Two Guys from Kabul.
