Cultural references

• One of the attractions listed on the map is a bobsled ride down "The Splatterhorn!" This is a reference to the Matterhorn, a mountain on the Pennine Alps.
  • The Matterhorn is also parodied as The Murderhorn, in the episode "King of the Hill".

Continuity

• The Holiday Wonderland map is nearly identical to the map for the Itchy & Scratchy Land theme park seen in the episode "Itchy & Scratchy Land". The only differences being new drawings of Itchy and Scratchy.
  • An Itchy and Scratchy robot is also seen on the map slap-shooting Bart and Lisa with hockey sticks.
