So, for a long time now, I've been thinking that we need to broaden our horizons - in other words, expanding our database to other languages. It'd be a great way to make us even more popular, but it would also, among other things, make Wikia lose some users. So what do you think? Should we broaden our horizons? --Will K (Talk ~ Contribs) 08:00, 18 July 2011 (UTC)

Well we either need to get existing ones to move from Wikia, or find users (like FatHomer) who wants to create one from scratch. Wikia have:

  • A low-active German
  • An active Spanish
  • An active Italian
  • An active Portuguese
  • Inactive (with 3 articles) Bulgarian
  • Inactive (with 8 articles) Danish
  • Inactive (with 21 articles) Finnish
  • Inactive (with 3 articles) Norwegian
  • Inactive (with 199 articles) Swedish. (Note: FatHomer is making one of these from scratch)

So really our best hopes are the first four.-Cook879 10:01, 18 July 2011 (UTC)

There is a German Independent Simpsons Wiki (Simpsonspedia) out there but I am unable to contact them as they seem to ignore me... ☆The Solar Dragon (Talk - Contribs.)☆ 12:04, 18 July 2011 (UTC)
Do they have an email address we could try contacting? It would be nice to get interlanguage links with them set up. --Jake 15:39, 20 July 2011 (EDT)
support@simpsonspedia.net Although they haven't replied to emails I've sent in the past. Someone else may have more luck. The Solar Dragon (Talk - Contribs.) 15:44, 20 July 2011 (EDT)
Forward me the email you sent them, and I'll try sending it to them via our support address. It's worth a shot. :P --Jake 16:53, 20 July 2011 (EDT)
