Use of category

Is this category not to be used anymore on files and only be used as a root category for other categories? --Simpsons88 (Talk ☎️) 15:33, July 3, 2024 (EDT)

Not exactly. If the only subjects in the image are characters who have their own categories, it's not used for those images because the categories are in this category. But if there are subjects in the image that don't have their own categories, then this category is used. The Solar Dragon 15:46, July 3, 2024 (EDT)

Template for all Simpsons appearing in an image

I have created a proposal in my userspace (User:MediocreUsername/Template:All Simpsons) for a template that can be put on images where all 5 of the main Simpsons appear in an image, as a possible way to reduce page size on file pages.
