This page documents which covers of the UK release of Simpsons Comics need replacing. Currently I am only including the main run of SC #1-#264.
For a cover image to be considered "good" it must:
- Be a scan or taken from an official source eg. the Titan Magazines website
- Depict the whole cover without any sides cut off
- Any rips and bends should be minor enough to be fixed in an image editing program
- Be at least 300 pixels wide
If you have a comic which is listed as "needs replacing" and would like to add its cover, please use the following guideline:
- Scan the cover in the most advanced scanner you have access to. If the scanner is unable to fit the whole cover, use the following steps:
- Create two scans, one with the top of the cover and one with the bottom of the cover. The two parts must have an overlap.
- Download PhotoStitcher and place the two images into the program. Select "Stitch" and make sure the pop-up box has "Scan" mode selected. Press OK and the full cover image should have been generated. Unfortunately the freeware version of the program does not allow you to save images, so if you're unable to obtain the full version, you can send me the two original scans and I can do the editing for you.
- Once you have the full image, use an image editing program such as GIMP (freeware) or Photoshop to rotate and crop it.
- Make sure the image is saved as a .png and upload to the site.
