"Little Barbershop of Horrors" is an episode of The Itchy & Scratchy Show. It was written by Bart and Lisa, but they submitted it under Grampa's name after their initial attempt at submitting the script had failed due to Myers rejecting it just because it was written by little kids, regardless of whether it was of high quality.
Plot
Scratchy goes to a barber shop for a haircut, with Itchy as the barber. Itchy then pours Barbecue sauce on Scratchy, whose head is eaten by ants, leaving behind his skull. Itchy then propels Scratchy into the air, and into Elvis Presley's television. Elvis comments that "This show ain't no good" and shoots the TV.
Trivia
- This is the only episode so-far to have an ending theme performed by an unknown singer, who sounds similar to the singer of the theme to Porch Pals.
- Originally, the plot was to have Itchy chop off Scratchy's tail and head with a cleaver, leaving him to dance in a fountain of blood coming from his spine, but Bart decided that it was "too predictable." Also, the inspiration for the episode came from an incident where Homer, while clipping the hedges, accidentally sheared off Marge's hair, and attempted to fix it by putting a stick on top of her recently cut hair to put it back into place while Marge was reading a magazine.
