When describing the conditions at Kamp Krusty, Kent Brockman mentions that he has been to Vietnam, Afghanistan, and Iraq and he states that the camp is worse than all three.[1]
Kabul, capital of Afghanistan, was once Springfield's sister city, however after the baby riot at Roofi's concert, they ended the affiliation.[2]
Jet claimed to have filmed in Afghanistan, Serbia and Lebanon, though actually filmed weddings in Dallas-Fort Worth.[3]
Springfield has an Afghan restaurant, Two Guys from Kabul.[4]

Bart prank calls Jack Bauer, saying he is "Ahmed Adoodie". Jack asks Chloe O'Brian to find out all she can about him, to which she responds "Ahmed Adoodie - wealthy Saudi wealthy Saudi financier.
