| + | :Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire is classed as a special. In 1991 (I think) they submitted both that episode and Some Enchanted Evening to an awards ceremony. Only way they could do that was because Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire was a special, not an actual episode, although we treat it as one. Only Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire is an episode at all. The rest are all behind the scenes, celebrations, PSAs, or spin-offs. - Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire is classed as a special. In 1991 (I think) they submitted both that episode and Some Enchanted Evening to an awards ceremony. Only way they could do that was because Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire was a special, not an actual episode, although we treat it as one. The other specials, we treat as specials as they are special one off episodes, behind the scenes documentaries, shorts etc.
