Mr. Thai is the owner of You Thai Now restaurant. He hired Bart, who was looking for a summer job, to hang menus on doors for him to help advertise his business so he can send his daughters to a good university. He later tried to buy the Springfield's oldest redwood tree to turn it into hundreds of Thai menus.
